This work is based on my experience traveling to Scotland to find the original form of the thistle. I noticed that thistles I had seen in both Germany and Japan slightly differed in shape. Research revealed that there are over 300 hybrids of thistles. I wanted to see the original form of the thistle, so I traveled to Scotland, where thistles have a mythical significance and are considered the national flower.
