Every day invisible Alps

In 2023, while I was considering developing a work on the end moraine I encountered in Kleinschönach, I had the opportunity to undertake an artist residency at the space “Omega B” in Überlingen. Just in front of my place of stay lay Lake Constance, and every day I looked across it toward the Alps. Yet not once was I able to clearly see the mountain range. With the wish to come closer to the Alps—the homeland of the end moraine—I kept drawing those unseen Alps day after day.

毎日見えないアルプス

2023年、Kleinschönachで出会ったエンドモレーンを題材に作品を展開したいと考えていた頃、Überlingenにあるスペース「Omega B」で滞在制作を行う機会を得た。滞在場所の目の前にはボーデン湖が広がり、僕は毎日その湖越しにアルプスの方角を眺めた。しかし一度もアルプス山脈をはっきりと見ることはできなかった。エンドモレーンの故郷であるアルプスに近づきたいという思いを込めて、僕はその見えないアルプスを日々描き続けた。
